Ruth "Bunky" Gregory

Ruth Goodson Gregory, age 85, of Crestview, Florida died at 12:38pm on December 26th.

Ruth or "Bunky", as she was known to family, was a strong, yet gentle woman full of compassion and charity. After graduating from Geneva High School in Alabama, she ran the family grocery store; then married and moved to Texas; and eventually worked at Okaloosa Title and Abstract in Crestview for twenty years.

She is survived by her daughter Lessie and son-in-law Nao Kusunoki of Tokyo, Japan; nieces Susan Hamburg and Sharon Faulk of Niceville; Debi Dyal of Perdido Key, John Goodson of Melbourne, Florida; Jeff Goodson of Minneapolis; Jerry Goodson of Helena, Alabama; and Tommy Goodson of Galveston. She is also survived by many great-nephews and nieces.

Funeral services will be held at Davis~Watkins Crestview Memorial on Sunday, December 30th at 1:00 P.M. located at 492 E. Pine Avenue. The burial will be held on Monday, December 31, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at the Sunset Memorial Gardens in Geneva, Alabama.

Because Ruth loved animals, especially cats, in lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Alaqua Animal Refuge; 914 Whitfield Road, Freeport, Florida 32439; to help with the care of pets made homeless by Hurricane Michael.
