Robert Lee Tarleton

Robert Lee Tarleton, age 76, of DeFuniak Springs, Florida passed away at his residence Sunday, July 28, 2019.  He was born January 13, 1943 in Montgomery, Alabama to Robert and Juanita Daniel Tarleton.  He was employed as a sales representative with Sysco Foods until his retirement.  “Bob” as he was known to family and friends, was an avid hunter, fisherman, and enjoyed watching NASCAR.  He was also a loyal University of Alabama fan!

He is preceded in death by his parents; one son, Robbie Tarleton; and one brother, Bruce Tarleton.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of twenty-nine years, Joy Tarleton; one daughter, Jill Boston and husband James; three granddaughters, Courtney Myers and husband Brandon, Jordan Jones and husband Roger, and Rebecca Tarleton; five great-grandchildren, Isabella, Ryland, and Hudson Myers and Camden and Carden Jones; step-children, Gary Bowers and Keith Lawrence; and four step-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held Tuesday, July 30, 2019 in the chapel of Davis-Watkins Funeral Home, 1474 Highway 83 North, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32433 beginning at 4:00 p.m.
