Richard Karl Woodard

Richard Karl Woodard, 62, of Navarre went to heaven on Wednesday, December 4, 2019. He was born in Lockport, New York and moved with his military family to Fort Walton Beach, Florida in 1967. Richard is survived by his father, Karl Woodard, Mary Esther/Navarre/FWB; sisters Ann Smith (James), FWB and Julie Jenzen (David), FWB; nephews Joshua Smith (Nicole), Jeffrey Smith (Siobhan), Justin Smith, Michael Jenzen, Steven Jenzen; niece Kaylee Jenzen; grandnephew Owen Smith (Jeff & Siobhan) and his cherished dog, Sadie. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Genevieve (Genny) Woodard.

Richard had a huge heart. He was a loyal and loving son, brother, uncle, friend, and neighbor. He loved his dog Sadie; she was his constant companion. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Richard was also an avid science fiction fan, a voracious reader and a science fiction collector. His passion for science fiction led to the opening of his business, Futurevisions, which he owned and operated in Pensacola, Florida for many years.

A graveside memorial service will be held on Friday, December 27, 2019 at 11:00 am at Beal Memorial Cemetery in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. A Celebration of Life luncheon will held directly following the ceremony (location will be announced at the service). Pastor Ray Angerman will be officiating.
