Richard Gerard Morris, age 59, of Navarre, Florida, passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2019 after a long illness.
He was born January 11, 1960 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He was a 1978 graduate of Choctawhatchee High School in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. He served his country in the United States Army and was a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne. He was employed at the Sierra-Nevada Corp. at Hurlburt Field.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald J. and Patricia L. Morris; brothers, Frank J. Morris, James P. Morris and Denis P. Morris.
He is survived by his sisters, Patricia J. Morris and Susanne M. Morris; brothers, D. John (Debrah) Morris, David M. (Mary) Morris, William P. (Mieko) Morris and Thomas G. (Judy) Morris; sister-in-laws, Cyndi Morris, and Michelle Morris.
Richard will be interred at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, Florida on Thursday, September 12, 2019 starting at 11:30.
Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Watkins Funeral Home.
