Ricardo Valentino Ponds

Ricardo Valentino Ponds, 66, passed unexpectedly from this life May 16, 2018 at Fort Walton Beach Medical Center surrounded by his loving wife, Susan; daughter, Breezy; and sister, Thelma.

Rick was born on April 26, 1952 in Clearwater, Florida and was educated in the school system of Holmes County, Florida and Bayview and Holmes County High.

He lived and worked in Niagara Falls, NY for a period of time and then moved to Phoenix with his good friend, Jerry Booth, where he later met Susan on January 3, 1980. They were wed on September 26, 1987.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Susan Ponds; daughters, Breezy Camille Ponds and Katina (Frank) Rodriguez; sons, Ricardo V Ponds, Kenneth (Elibet) Scott and Mike(Deedee)Vent; grandchildren, Breeanna, Dazzmarie, Deja, Isaiah, Aaron, Josiah, Jaejuan and tyree; sister, Thelma Davis; nieces and nephews, Ebony, Jackie, Kim, Tina, Keith, AJ, Demetrious, James, Patrick, and Choice; special friends, Henry Myrick, Andrew Granger, and numerous beloved friends.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, May 19, 2018, in the chapel of Davis Watkins Funeral Home, 113 NE Racetrack Road, Ft. Walton Beach, FL 32547, with brother Joey Rankin officiating. A time of visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. with services to follow at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow the service at Beal Memorial Cemetery.
