Patricia Joy Abruzzo

Patricia J. Abruzzo, age 74, of Miramar Beach, FL, passed away Thursday, September 20, 2018.  She was born April 21, 1944 in Queens, NY to Louise and Joseph Comeau.  On September 7, 1963 she married Joseph Abruzzo, Jr. 

Patricia graduated from Grover Cleveland High School and then attended secretarial school.  She raised her family and had a successful career in Computer Software Sales and Management.  She was a generous and kind person who loved Jesus and tried to live her life as He would want her to.  She enjoyed her family and grandchildren very much and loved going on trips with them and her husband, Joe.  She and Joe enjoyed living in Colorado, Illinois, California, Georgia and Florida.  She enjoyed her girl time with her friends traveling or just home playing dominos and socializing.  Her love of art and painting helped her create and collect some amazing pieces.  She loved to play golf and have small gatherings with friends.  She traveled the world and her favorite places were Fatima, Italy and Colorado. 

Patricia is survived by her children; Lori Karian (Stephan) and Mike Abruzzo; grandchildren, Ethan Joseph Karian, Ava Rose Karian.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph Abruzzo, Jr.; son, Joseph Abruzzo III; her parents; and sisters, Jerilyn Horstman and Ruth Sottolano.

A Memorial Mass will take place Friday, September 28, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Resurrection Catholic Church, 259 Miramar Beach Drive, Miramar Beach, FL 32550.  A gathering will follow at Emeril’s Coastal Italian from 11:30 to 1:00. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts be donated to Sacred Heart Foundation, 7700 US Hwy 98W, Suite 300, Santa Rosa Beach, FL 32459.
