Ms. Mildred "Millie" A. Miller, 80, of Panama City, passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2018 in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. Ms. Miller was born November 24, 1937 in Panama City, Florida, to Robert and Willie T. Owens (Vinson). She was a member of Parkway Presbyterian Church. Ms. Miller loved to be around children and found much joy in teaching Sunday School and Vacation Bible School to the children of Parkway Presbyterian. She was a homemaker by trade and this allowed her to be active in her children's and grandchildren's lives. She was a member of the Daughters of the Nile and found pleasure in helping others. She was a loving lady and always willing to lend an ear to listen or offer a word of advice. Ms. Miller was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Ronald Rea Miller; parents, Robert and Willie T. Owens; her brothers, Robert "Bobby" Owens and Ray Owens; and son, Ronald Rea Miller, Jr. She leaves behind two daughters, Kathleen Belcher and husband, Jimmy, of Anchorage, Alaska and Sandi Shuff and husband, John, of Lynn Haven, FL; sisters, Winnie Owens of Panama City, FL and Linda Berry of Dallas, Texas; seven grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. Graveside Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at Greenwood Cemetery Rev. Dr. Richard Connor officiating. Memorials can be made to Parkway Presbyterian Church, in Millie's name.
