Merrell Gale Fournier

Merrell Gale (Wheelock) Fournier, age 79, of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida passed away November 18, 2019 in Ft. Walton Beach.  She was born November 5, 1940 in Fall River, Massachusetts. 

Merrell was married to Donald Fournier on March 17, 1990 in Fall River, MA and has resided in other places such as Westport, MA, Mary Esther, FL and Ft. Walton Beach.  Her favorites in life were her family first and reading.  She had a wonderful sense of humor, a joker but also kind, loving and generous. 

Merrell is survived by her loving husband, Donald Fournier; daughter, Tammie R. (Clarke) Bussiere and husband, Leo M. Bussiere of Worcester, MA; son, Peter C. Clarke and wife, Donna Clarke of Fall River, MA; step children, Shauna Fournier and Shane Fournier of Fall River, MA.; grandchildren, Crystal Lee Swenson, Kendra Lynn DeMello, Kayla Marie Nunes, Courtney Clarke and Kaitlynn Clarke; thirteen great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews; brother, North William Wheelock Jr. and his lifetime partner, Tom Fincham of Ft. Walton Beach, FL ; sister, Jeanne S. (Wheelock) Belanger of Blacksburg, South Carolina, Jill A. DeMello of North Dartmouth, MA.

She is preceded in death by her son, Richard Arruda, Jr.; sister, Sheryl Lee Lamb; brother, Peter L. Wheelock; parents, North William Wheelock and Jeanne (Buffinton) Wheelock;  grandparents, Major William Wheelock and Sadie (Pierce) Wheelock,  Alton Thornley Buffinton and Alice (Staples) Buffinton.
