Mary Ann Lewis went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 17, 2018. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and dear friend.
Mary Ann was born in McClellan, Arkansas to Everett and Lela Hallman on January 11, 1941. She graduated from Jacksonville High School in 1958 in Jacksonville, Arkansas where she proceeded to attend Cosmetology school. She became a Christian at an early age and lived her life devoted to the Lord. While attending church she met David Lewis whom she married on February 20th, 1961 at which time they moved to Fort Walton Beach, FL and raised two sons.
She worked as a Cosmetologist, Sales clerk at TG&Y, The Christian Book store and was a Top seller of Tupperware for many years but her truest calling was her family and her faith and devotion to God. Her love for her family was unmeasurable and her kindness to friends never ending. She was a wonderful painter, would spend time making quilts and writing poetry for family, a great listener with a gentle heart, she had a loving kindness and her belief in the lord made her a true friend to all that knew her. A gentle soul, devoted to her family and to her Christian faith; how she lived her life and her steadfast faith made her an example for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parent’s; Everett Hallman and Lela Laws, brother’s; Robert S. Laws, and David C. Hallman, son; Douglas Franklin Lewis and Grandson; David Duane Lewis Jr. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, David Lewis; sons, Duane (Taylor) Lewis of Navarre, FL and Danny (Trish) Lewis of Elba, AL, sisters; Carol (Richard) Green of Benton, AR and Linda (Tim) Jones of Bastrop, LA, brothers; James (Wanda) Hallman of Benton, AR, William (Jimmie) Hallman of Pocahontas, AR, Paul (Kelley) Laws of Greenville, SC, Everett (Jeanette) Hallman of Guernsey, WY, Larry (Judy) Hallman of Kingsland, AR and Special Cousin Sherian (Delbert) Boatright of Paraloma, AR., grandchildren; Shawn Lewis of Crestview, FL, Shane Lewis of Kinston, AL, Crystal (Kevin) Bussman of Fort Walton Beach, Ryan (Vanessa) Lewis of Holt, Makenzie, Ashton and Emily Lewis of Navarre; Great Grandchildren, Wyatt, Kiersten, Shawna, Tucker, Brock and Hunter Lewis, Landon, Austin and Natalie Bussman and Chloe Calhoun.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, November 26th at Emerald Coast Church Assembly of God with Pastor Tim Black officiating. Burial will follow at Beal Memorial Cemetery with Davis Watkins Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 12:00 and continuing until service time. There will be a Post-Funeral Reception at Emerald Coast Church Assembly of God.
