Martha Jean Taylor Amerson, age 86, of Westville, Florida passed away Friday, August 23, 2019 at Fort Walton Beach Medical Center. She was born July 1, 1933 in Gainesville, Florida. Martha a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church in Westville and was loved by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, James Benjamin and Roxie Nobles Taylor; two sisters, Patricia Ann Harrington and Erma Jean Parnell; and one son, Wayne J. Amerson.
Martha is survived by her husband, Bernice Amerson; two daughters, Wanda Lucille Lamb and husband Doug of Seale, AL and Debra Lynn Hacking of Westville, Florida; one sister, Judy Adams of Gainesville, Florida; five grandchildren, Jackie Douglas Lamb, Carrie Jean Kursturin, Jennifer Lynn Piland, Paula Bernice Lamb, and Wende Lucille Standridge; seven great-grandchildren, Brenda Kayline Watts and fiancé Andrew Johnson, Nicole Marie Watts Head and husband Doc, Heather Marie Lamb, Jacob Wayne Piland, Debbra Bianca Standridge, Caitlin Jennifer Standridge, and Guy Wayne Standridge; five great-great-grandchildren, Ava Marie and Eli Easton Head, Arya Isabella Delince, Aubree Sherell and Ivoree Marie Smith; and numerous extended family.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 31, 2019 at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church of Westville beginning at 3 p.m. with Pastor Dale Paul officiating. A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Committal services will follow in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.
