Marilynn Takella Manning was born on August 29, 1955 to the late Willa Mae (Gipson) and Eugene Edward Manning in Defuniak Springs, FL. She attended and graduated from Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University were she joined Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Marilynn then fulfilled her life’s purpose of being an educator. Most notably she worked with the Walton County School District for many years. On Thursday, December 19, 2019 she succumbed to a recent decline in health.
She is preceded in death by maternal grandparents Ida (Russ) and Caldwell Gipson, paternal grandparents Mose and Betsy Manning and parents Willa and Eugene Manning.
She leaves to cherish her memories: daughters, Nyla (Janelle) Mitchell and Kayla Campbell; grandson, Kadon Manning; siblings Sherry Bell, Twilla Manning, and Lynn (Jerine) Campbell; nieces Kerri (Earnest) McDonald, Shaniqua Campbell, Niesha Campbell, Lynn Jada Campbell; nephews, Tim Bell and Sheldon Manning; and a host of family and friends.
