Luna Garrett Obituary

Luna Mae Garrett, 92, a 50 year resident of Old River Road in Milligan, Florida, passed away on Saturday, January 11th, 2020, in Chapin, South Carolina

Born October 9th, 1927, she was the daughter of Willie and Beula Phelps. Luna Mae was married to Olin E. Garrett in 1945. Olin passed away in March of 2002. Olin was retired from the U.S. Army, a retired instructor at Crestview High School, a Mason and was a member of the Shriners of Mt. Ewell Lodge in Crestview. Mae was a Notary Public in Crestview for many years.

Mae is survived by her older brother, Bill Phelps of Raleigh, North Carolina; her sister Joyce Phelps of Durham North Carolina; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Leon (Sonny) Phelps; Hazel Matthews; Norman (Pete) Phelps; Leroy (Red) Phelps; and Sharon Phelps.

Mae will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at Live Oak Park Memorial Cemetery in Crestview.

Arrangements and services are under the direction of Davis-Watkins Crestview Memorial.
