LTC Alan Goldsborough, Retired Obituary

Alan Roy Goldsborough passed away December 29, 2018 at Ft. Walton Beach Medical Center at the age of 71. He was born in York, PA to the late Richard and Theresa Goldsborough. Alan was a C-130 Navigator in Special Ops, stationed at Pope AFB, NC, Hurlburt Field, Rhein Main, Germany and Panama Canal. He loved flying. Alan also retired from Civil Service at Eglin AFB, working in the Math Lab. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 40 years, Donna Goldsborough. He enjoyed their log cabin in Alabama, and all of their friends there. He also enjoyed golf, bowling and football. Alan was a member of Mary Esther United Methodist Church for over 30 years, serving on several boards over the years. He loved his church. Alan is survived by wife, Donna Goldsborough; daughter, Nancy Tharpe; son in law, Chris Tharpe; brother, Richard Goldsborough; sister in law, Roby Goldsborough; brother-in-law, Sonny Goldson; granddaughter, Kinsey Tharpe and the light of his life who he adored, grandson, Gavin Tharpe as well as several nieces and one nephew. A private family service is to be held at a later date.

Charitable donations can be made to Mary Esther United Methodist Church or your favorite charity.

Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Watkins Funeral Home in Ft. Walton Beach.
