Joshua Michael Hagan

Joshua Michael Hagan, age 33, passed away peacefully September 28, 2018.  Josh was born on July 27, 1985 in Newport News, Virginia.  Josh spent much of his life living in Fort Walton Beach, Fl, where he made many long-lasting friendships and was surrounded by a loving family.  On September 16, 2015, Josh was blessed when the love of his life, Rachelle Maddox, gave birth to their beautiful daughter Lylah Elizabeth whom he loved with all his heart. 

Josh is survived by his daughter, Lylah; her mother, Rachelle; his brother, Leo; mother, Laura; his step-brother, Rick; his step sister, Dawn; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews; his step-mother, Elaine; his step-father, Rich.  He is preceded in death by his father, Leo (Big Lee); step-brother, Jeff; grandfather, “Buzz”; grandfather, Rich and grandfather, Leo “Rock”.

Josh was an avid fisherman who loved to be on the water and spent many early morning and late evenings fishing the bays and Gulf of Mexico.  Josh also loved to surf and skim board and had so many friends who all loved him dearly.  Josh’s smile was infectious and always a welcome sight everywhere he went.  Following his father’s footsteps, Josh was a “Jack of All Trades”, and skilled beyond his years in Carpentry, HVAC, Plumbing, Automotive, and a self-proclaimed Master Chef.

A Private service will be held with the family at a date to be determined.  A celebration of Josh’s life will be held for friends on Thursday, October 4, 2018, 6:00 p.m. at Coasters Downtown, Fort Walton Beach, FL.

The Family would like to give special thanks to the many nurses and doctors, caretakers, and social workers from the Fort Walton Beach Medical Center, Shands UF, and Sacred Heart Hospital.  Also, to April Hagan, Jacki Hagan Butler, Rachelle Maddox, Donna and Gary Hagan, for all the extra care and support they gave to Josh in his time of need.
