Johnie Bea Johnston

Johnie Burchfield Johnston, 47, of Shalimar, Florida passed away on June 19, 2018. She was born on June 30, 1970 to Johnny and Patsy Burchfield in Bessemer, Alabama.

Johnie was a devoted wife and tireless mother who always placed her family before herself. She enjoyed the outdoors including the river, beach, and camping. Johnie was also a skilled nurse who enjoyed delivering new life into this world. She was loved and will be missed by her family and her pets who gave her much joy.

Johnie was preceded in death by her twin sister, Joanie Burchfield.

She is survived by her husband, Barry Johnston; son, Samuel Johnston; daughters, Jessica Johnston and Mary Johnston; parents, Johnny and Patsy Burchfield; brother, Kenneth Burchfield and wife, Julie; sisters, Debbie Knight and husband, Brad and Pattie Wellington and husband, Ray; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday June 23, 2018 beginning at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Davis-Watkins Funeral Home, 113 Racetrack Rd NE, Fort Walton Beach, Florida 32547. A time of visitation will be held one-hour prior.  Committal services will follow at Beal Memorial Cemetery in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. Flowers are being accepted.
