James Harris Strong

James Harris Strong, longtime resident of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida passed away on April 15, 2019 at his home.  He was born October 16, 1923 in Bemis, Tennessee.  James served 23 years in the United States Air Force.  He loved gardening, hunting, fishing and family get togethers. 

James is preceded by his loving wife, Ruth Strong, Shirley and son, James Jr.  He is survived by Betty Riker (Ray), Diane Vosburgh (Leslie), Susan Fedullo and David Strong; several grandkids and great grandkids.  A visitation will take place 1:00 p.m. at Davis Watkins Funeral Home, 113 NE Racetrack Road, Ft. Walton Beach, Fl 32547 on Thursday, April 25, 2019.  Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. with burial following the service at Beal Memorial Cemetery.
