James Vaughn Obituary

James Lee Vaughn went to be with the Lord suddenly on April 3, 2019 and is enjoying a happy reunion with his beloved granddaughter, Crystal. Jim was born on December 31, 1936 to Marjorie and Walter Vaughn in Fairfield, Alabama. He attended the University of Alabama for two years and remained a “Roll Tide” fan even though he graduated from Birmingham Southern College earning a business degree. He served in the United States Air Force for four years and enjoyed a life time career with Chevron, retiring at the age of 59. Jim married his love, Betty (B.J.) Morrow on April 11, 1964 and was overjoyed at the birth of his son Derek in 1969. Jim loved God and country and was a deacon at Village Baptist Church.

He is preceded by his parents; infant son, Chad and granddaughter, Crystal and survived by his loving wife, B.J.; son, Derek; brother, Ron and extended family members and numerous friends.
