Jack was born on October 3, 1957 in Brookhaven, Mississippi to Linda Dale Walker and Jack Jordan Wellborn. He grew up in Brewton, Alabama. He attended Nichols State University in Thibodaux, Louisisana.
Jacks career was in real estate sales and development.
He loved being on the water surfing, sailing, and fishing. He enjoyed snow skiing and traveling. He was very adventurous and tried it all.
Jack started taking art lessons as a boy and loved art all of his life. He was a prolific painter. He spent his free time painting and reading spiritual and philosophical books. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He loved flowers.
He was the one people called on when they or someone they knew needed help, because he could always be counted on to give his time sponsoring and helping those who needed his guidance.
He loved Costa Rica and had a home there for years. He enjoyed the jungles, plants, exploring and developing properties.
He was an amazing, wonderful, kind, generous man, husband, dad, son, uncle, and friend.
Jack is survived by his devoted, loving wife Angela Leigh Cummins; daughters Emily Ann Napier (Dustin), Josephine Elizabeth Wellborn; son Jack Jordan Wellborn III (Nicole); step daughter Ellie Marie Scott; grandson Banks Dean Napier; mother Linda Watson; father Jack J. Wellborn (Helen); brothers James Jeffrey Wellborn (Renee), and John Warren Wellborn; stepsister Alicelyn Hudson (Ames); sister-in-law Cheri Hlubek (Jim); nieces, Ashlee Scarpulla (Paul), Caroline Hudson, and Ashton Wellborn; and great nephew and niece JP and Lily Scarpulla. He was preceded in death by his step-father, Abraham Green Watson.
A memorial service will be held this Saturday, August 24, 2019 at 11:00 a.m., at Christ the King Episcopal Church, located at 480 North County Road 393, Santa Rosa Beach, Florida 32459. Reception following.
