Gladys Belle Tuttle Grems, age 79, a resident of DeFuniak Springs, Florida passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2019 following a long illness. She was born November 19, 1939 in Newfane, Vermont to Marvin and Beatrice Wiswall Tuttle. At the age of 15, she moved to New York and graduated there in 1957 from Brookfield High School. In September of 1972, she moved to Florida. Gladys was employed with Ramada Inn on Okaloosa Island for 40 years and enjoyed working with a special boss and friend, Chef Earl. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Gladys will truly be missed by her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents; the father of her children, Michael Grems; eight brothers; and one sister.
Gladys is survived by five daughters, Gladys Nichols (Roger), Michele Grems, Patricia Russ (Sam), Dora Howland (Marky), and Pamela Grems (Jimmy); seven grandchildren, Candice Nichols (James), Danyella Nichols, Danny Ray Nichols II, Samantha Grems (Houston), Mathew Howland, Samuel Russ, and Kimberley Stroud; five great-grandchildren, Jakobe, Destynee, Jasper, Isyss, and JaDen; one baby great-grandchild, Braiden Nelson; one sister, Ethel Perkins (Dickie); special nephews, Dennis Tuttle; two sisters-in-law, Liz and Lorie Tuttle; and several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Watkins Funeral Home and Crematory.
