Elizabeth “Annie” Ann Ferguson, 72, of Fort Walton Beach, FL, entered into rest unexpectedly Monday afternoon, May 27, 2019.
Annie was born March 21, 1947 in Jackson, Alabama. She moved to FWB in the 80’s where she was hired to take care of Gwendolyn ReMine. This job gave Annie the people she would call family for the rest of her life. Annie instantly became a very important part of the ReMine and Wade family. After Gwendolyn passed Annie moved in with the Wade’s as their live-in nanny. She assisted in raising Melissa Johnson and Jarrod Wade, instilling a passion for the Lord in them.
Annie was known by many because of her giving heart. She loved her church, animals, and those she called family. Annie’s life revolved around loving and serving others. She enjoyed helping with the children’s ministry at church, walking her dog, Skip, and talking with friends in her neighborhood.
She is preceded in death by her parents James and Alma Noble. She is survived by her “daughter” Mitzi Wade, “grandchildren” Jonathan House, Nicole McLeroy, Stephanie Cruz-Richardson, Melissa Johnson, & Jarrod Wade, and her beloved dog, Skip.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 1, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church, 403 Racetrack Road NW, Ft. Walton Beach, Florida 32547.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to the Trinity Children’s or Youth Ministries or Saving with Soul Pet Rescue.
