Douglas Lionel Hand

Douglas L. Hand, age 55, of Destin, Florida, died unexpectedly as a result of a motorcycle accident on September 13, 2019 in Crestview, Florida.

Doug was born on April 13th in Montgomery, Alabama. He graduated from Ft. Walton Beach High School in 1982. He was married to Sandra East aboard the dive vessel Aquanaut, in Destin, Florida. They were married 34 years.

Doug’s favorite place to be was on vacation. He spent much of his free time fishing, hunting, camping, SCUBA diving, or spending time with his dogs.

Doug is survived by his wife, Sandi; son, Robert James; brothers, Leslie Bernard Hand Jr. (Retha Hand) of Rutledge, Alabama and Steven Craig Hand (Gina Hand) of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

He is preceded in death by his father Leslie Bernard Sr. and mother Nella Jean Waldrep Hand of Destin, Florida.
