Donna M Born

Donna Marie Born expressed love to everyone she met.  Her tidy comfortable home was always open to friends, relatives and even some strangers at times.  No one ever left without getting a hug.  She loved to laugh, and laughed easily.  We often heard her laughing from an adjoining room while on the phone, or watching a program. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were the light in her eyes and her legacy lives vibrantly on through all of them.  She always remembered their birthdays , and prayed for them daily. 

She was born on November 30th 1946 in Troy, NY. to Edward and Marjorie Rysedorph along with her twin sister and closest compadre, Dianne Rysedorph.  She married her lifelong partner Kenneth W. Born Sr, on February 28th 1964.  The tentative date was hastily changed from February 29th after they found out it was a leap year.  They had fifty five years together through good times and tough times, but they always remained devoted to each other throughout the years, and bore hardships with grace and style.  Donna's work was mostly as a homemaker, but she did work for a while as a café waitress in her younger years, as a cashier at Eglin Commissary, as a clerk at the Eglin Armament Museum, as a server at Rocky Bayou Country club, and as a pump tender at the Lucky Thirteen truck stop. No employer was ever happy to see her go.  We remember her mostly at home welcoming every visitor with smiles and hugs, or driving up in her car wearing her flamboyant sunglasses.

  
Donna passed peacefully from this life on June 18 2019 surrounded by, and doted on by her loving family.  She is survived by her devoted husband Ken, Her twin sister Dianne, Her children Kenny Born Jr. (Karen)  Colette Mitchell (Chris Rhodes) Dawn Legge (Will) as well as her ten grandchildren Ashley Brantley (David), Brandon Mitchell (Samantha), Kenny Born III, Jeremy Born, David Born, Daniel Born, Cassie Bertoch (Adam) Celine Legge, AJ Legge, Danny Legge and nine great grandchildren, Tristan, Avery Mae, Austynn, Madison,  Aubree, Carson, Bailey, Claire and Sophie, along with many cousins, nieces and nephews.   She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Marjorie Rysedorph, Her siblings Jimmy Rysedorph, Jeanne Kelly, Johnny Rysedorph, and her zany brother Edward (Red) Rysedorph.
