Donald "Donny" Reginald Broxson

Donald ‘Donny’ Reginald Broxson, 61, of Navarre, Florida unexpectedly passed away on July 8, 2018 at Baptist Hospital Pensacola, Florida.  He was born February 25, 1957 in Crestview, Florida. Donny was raised in the Fort Walton Beach area and graduated from Ft. Walton Beach High School in 1975. His son, David, was born June 2, 1976.  He married Debra Thornton on August 1, 2009.

Donny was a talented upholsterer. He worked with his father, Alvyn, in their family business D&D Upholstery and became owner of the business upon his father’s death. 

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his beloved family and close friends. 

Donny was an amazing, loving, caring, fun and generous man who always put his family first. He will be greatly missed but will be greeted with open arms and paws in heaven.

Donny is survived by mother, Rose June Broxson; wife, Debra; son, David Broxson and wife, Emily; daughter, Annie Thornton; grandsons, Byron and Wyatt Broxson; brother, Danny Broxson and wife, Sue; sister, Debbie Gottschalk and husband David; nieces Christine Kahl and husband, Jantz, Danielle Broxson-Droke and husband, Jack, niece, Rose Gottschalk; nephew, Ray Gottschalk; great nieces, Maddie Worley and Ireland Wynne; great nephews, Kevin Wynne and wife, Tommie, Casey Wynne, Cade Wynne, Brayden Broxson and Mason Worley and dog, Deacon.

Donny was proceeded in death by his father,  Alvyn Broxson; grandparents John and Onie Broxson; grandparents, Gus and Sally Urquhart; brother, John Marvin and his trusty companion, Buster.

A service for Donny will be held at Davis-Watkins on Wednesday July 11, 2018. Visitation will be 6:00-7:00 pm and Memorial Service will follow 7:00-8:00 pm led by Reverend Doug Barber. 

Donny always gave of himself big-heartedly to others, so in lieu of flowers, please give a donation to your favorite charity in memory honor of Donny.
