Dennis "Murdock" Gene Johnson

Dennis Gene Johnson, known to family and friends as “Murdock”, age 54, of DeFuniak Springs, Florida passed away Sunday, March 10, 2019 in Panama City, Florida. He was a graduate of Walton High School. Dennis was the type of man who enjoyed working and had worked multiple jobs in the area to support his family.

He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Christadell Bailey Johnson; one daughter, Brandi Johnson Turner and husband Clarence; one step-son, Davvid Bailey all of DeFuniak Springs, FL; mother, Patricia Johnson Jackson of New Brockton, Alabama; sister, April Cordle of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; brother, Jeremy Bryant of Columbus, Georgia; mother-in-law, Dorothy Ard of DeFuniak Springs, FL; brother-in-law, Novie Ard of DeFuniak Springs, FL; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, March 13, 2019 beginning at 2:00 p.m. at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 532 Lakeview Drive, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32433 with Pastor Bill Gager officiating.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Davis-Watkins Funeral Home and Crematory to offset funeral expenses.
