Gone Too Soon

Dennis Paul Johnson of Ponce de Leon, Florida, has gone home to his Maker. Dennis was born in Clarkston, Michigan, on May 10, 1956. He was an athlete, a pitcher, and a Michigan State Spartan. He has lived in Florida for the past 30 years, having moved down here to be close to his parents. Dennis will be missed terribly.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Katie Palmer; father, Paul Johnson; brother Gary Johnson, and mother-in-law, Katherine Freeman.

Dennis leaves behind his wife Kathy Freeman-Johnson; mother, Juanita Johnson of DeFuniak Springs; two sons, Jason and Joshua Johnson of Michigan; sister and her family; Debbie and Tom Bellisle of Ocala; Ryan Consiglio of Daytona; and Melissa and Erica Consiglio of San Antonio, Texas; brothers, sisters, in-laws and outlaws; Roscoe and Marilyn Freeman; Karen Freeman; Katrina and Scott Anderson; and Willene Freeman and Mike Grochowicz all of Crossville, Tennessee. From the close families of his parents, he leaves his aunts and uncles; Norma Lacey, Alice and Jay Johnson, LaDonna Burgess, Lola Farnsworth, Gladys Cheek, Leroy and Sharon Johnson, Joyce Miracle, and Dot Hess; and also leaves behind a host of family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, March 9, 2019 beginning at 12:00 p.m. at Solid Rock Community Church, 26 Joe Anderson Road, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32433. A time of visitation will begin at 11:30 p.m.
