Deanna R. Kinney, a resident of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2018, eleven days short of her 80th birthday. She was born in Pittsburgh, New Hampshire to Walter and Mary Pond in 1938. For over 10 years, she was a volunteer member with the Blue Angels at Healthmark Regional Medical Center, something she really enjoyed because she enjoyed helping others. Deanna was also employed there as a dietician aide in the cafeteria for several years. Since 1974, she had been an attendee of St. Margaret Catholic Church in DeFuniak.
She is preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Louis P. Guidry and Edward Kinney; one son, Jesse P. Guidry; one sister, Cathy Pond; and one brother, Edmond Pond.
Deanna is survived by three sons, Louis J. Guidry and wife Cathy, Kenneth Guidry, and Pierre Guidry and wife Susan; two daughters, Starlow Odom and husband Jeffery and Deborah Curry; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held Sunday, October 21, 2018, in the chapel of Davis-Watkins Funeral Home, 1474 Highway 83 North, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32433 from 2 to 4 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, October 22, 2018 beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Margaret Catholic Church with Reverend Father Richard Dawson as celebrant.
