David Frederick Sadler passed in peace at his home on July 16, 2018.
A native to Fort Walton Beach, FL, David was born in 1955 to Fred & Joyce M. Sadler. In his youth David attended Fort Walton Beach High School, class of 1974, and worked at the Holiday Inn owned by his grandparents, James & Irene Miller. He later served in the US Army from 1977-1981 before returning home and settling into a long career of mechanical repair and maintenance. Always tinkering, there wasn’t much that David couldn’t repair; he spent the last 18 years working for Okaloosa County Water & Sewer. He was a devoted son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather and will be greatly missed by those that knew and loved him.
David is preceded in death by his father, Fred Sadler; and brother, Mark Sadler. He is survived by his mother, Joyce Sadler; his wife of 40 years, Beth Sadler; and their son, Joshua Sadler; his grandsons, Jeremiah & Trenton Sadler; his brothers, Paul, Timothy, and Joel Sadler, all of Fort Walton Beach; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family that he loved dearly.
Service will be conducted on Monday, July 23, 2018, at Davis Watkins Funeral Home in Fort Walton Beach, with visitation at 9am and funeral service at 10am. Interment with military honors to follow at Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola, FL at 1pm. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you donate to Special Olympics Florida, a cause that holds a special place in all their lives.
