Dana Johnson Sullivan

Dana Sullivan, fifty-eight years of age, departed this earthly life on January 9, 2019. She was born in Tallahassee, Florida, to J.D. Johnson and JoAnn Johnson on August 3, 1960. She married the love of her life, Daniel Sullivan, on February 14, 1987, in Tallahassee. Dana adored living in downtown Fort Walton Beach and often could be found entertaining friends and family with a glass of chardonnay on her glorious balcony overlooking the Choctawhatchee Bay and in the home she made wonderful. Dana shared the love of Jesus Christ with the world, and she nurtured her unwavering Christian faith at Westminster Presbyterian Church, where she participated in and supported the nursery, Vacation Bible School, a ladies’ Bible study, the youth program, and innumerable other church ministries. She also was a regular Bible Study Fellowship attendee. An avid runner, Dana participated in countless 5Ks, 10Ks, trail runs, and half marathons.

Dana is survived by Dan Sullivan, her husband of thirty-one years, of Fort Walton Beach; her son, Alex Sullivan, of Jackson, Mississippi; her son, Clyde Sullivan (Katie), of Fort Walton Beach; her son, Johnson Sullivan, of Fort Walton Beach; her grandchildren, Riley and Harper Sullivan, of Fort Walton Beach; her mother, JoAnn Johnson, of Tallahassee; her sister, Chris Johnson, of Tallahassee; her niece, Lindsay Beagles (Stefanie), of Tallahassee; her niece, Toni Beagles, of Crawfordville, Florida; her great nieces, Remi and Shiloh Pageau, of Crawfordville; her best friend, Lené Shepherd (Clayton), of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; her best friend’s daughter, Samantha Benko (Alex) of Clovis, New Mexico; her many other beloved family members and dear friends whom she cherished; and her beloved Shih Tzu, Sadie Sullivan. Her father, J.D. Johnson, of Tallahassee, preceded her in death.

All who loved Dana are invited to a memorial, which will take place on Saturday, January 19, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2 Woodham Avenue, Fort Walton Beach, FL 32547.
