Constance Strickland Johnson

Constance “Connie” Johnson, age 60, of DeFuniak Springs, Florida passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2019 in Pensacola, Florida.  She was born October 16, 1958 in Winter Haven, Florida.  Before health issues prevailed, she had been employed with Publix for six years.  Her family praised her for being  an excellent caregiver to her husband and her mother for the past few years.   Connie  had an outgoing personality with the ability to make everyone around her smile.  She was friendly to every person she came in contact with, whether she knew them or had never met them.

She is preceded in death by her father, Malcolm Strickland; step-son, Michael Johnson; first grandson, Joshua; and brother, Dale Strickland.

Connie is survived by her husband of twenty years, Howard Johnson; one daughter, Tanya Fales; her mother, Sylvia Strickland; one grandson, Jordan Eckert; one step-grandson, Brett Johnson; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 22, 2019 in the chapel of Davis-Watkins Funeral Home, 1474 Highway 83 North, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32433 beginning at 3:00 p.m. with a time of visitation one hour prior.  Committal services will follow in Mossy Head Cemetery.
