Connie Joan Rockman Inman, age 65, of Fort Walton Beach, Florida died unexpectedly in her sleep on the 22nd of December following a brief illness.
Connie was born in Seattle, Washington in 1953 to parents Bob and Jean Rockman. She was married for 40 years to Robert Inman. They married in Seattle in 1978 following his U.S. Air Force training, and together they traveled for the next 30 years as they were assigned to duty stations around the US and in Europe. During this time she worked as an accountant/bookkeeper and volunteered in spouse support groups, local clubs and neighborhood functions. Despite lifelong health struggles, her energy, buoyant attitude, and determination to do things right, made her a blessing to her family and all who encountered her over the years. We all benefited from many extra years with her because of the generosity of kidney/organ donors, including a living kidney donor and friend of the family, Kirk Folk.
Connie had a talent for craft work and enjoyed sewing, baking, and decorating cakes. She liked scuba diving and hiking, and loved being outdoors working in her yard and garden.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Inman; daughter, Kristina; grandson, Joshua; as well as her 3 sisters (Ann Bernoski, Pat Shaw, and Muriel Forsyth) and brother Jon Rockman. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Watkins Funeral Home, and Connie will be returning to Seattle for private memorial services.
