Christopher Shawn Cosby

Christopher Cosby (Shawn), age 46, graduated to heaven after a two and a half year illness (ALS) on April 14, 2019 in his parent’s home in Ft. Walton Beach, Fl.  Shawn resided in Fort Walton Beach since 1983 and drove an 18 wheeler cross country for thirteen years for Wiley Sanders Truck Line, Inc. after serving four years in the Navy.  He loved fishing and watching his favorite team “Alabama” play and also watching the races and wrestling. 

Christopher was born November 9, 1972 in Birmingham, Alabama to parents, Don and Wanda (Edwards) Cosby; grandparents, Bertha Edwards and Bobby Joe Cosby; siblings, Donnie (Tracie), Nathaniel, Jeremy (Susan), Jamie (Samantha), Jeff (Jennie); nieces and nephews, Ethan, Jaylen, Shayla, Rick, Randall, Teagan, Piper, Tiara, Kylie, Madison, Micah, Rory, Dylan, Trey and Hayden.   

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Juanita Cosby and Nick Edwards; uncles, Darrell and Dale.   

Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m., with funeral services to begin at 2:00 p.m. at Davis Watkins Funeral Home, Ft. Walton Beach on Wednesday, April 17, 2019.  Joey Rankin will officiate the service.  Pallbearers are Donnie Edwards, Jeremy Winbery, Jeff Edwards, Bruce Berge, Shane Berge and Pat Brakefield.   A reception will follow the burial at Brooks-Beal Center, 100 Beal Parkway NW, Ft. Walton Beach, Fl 32548.
