Billy Bob Byrd, Jr., age 48, of Ponce de Leon, Florida passed away Saturday, March 9, 2019. He was known to all his family and friends as, “Peanut.” He was born November 16, 1970 in Lake Worth, Florida to Billy and Donnie Lee McKinney Byrd. Peanut was an awesome drywaller and a gifted mechanic to whom the community trusted and depended upon to repair their autos and four-wheelers. Fact was: Peanut was an all-round, “Mr. Fix-It.” He was a country man who loved the outdoors. Fishing, hunting, riding motorcycles or whatever he could do outside the house he truly enjoyed.
He is preceded in death by the mother he adored, Donnie Byrd.
Peanut is survived by one son, Justin Lee Byrd; one daughter, Crystal Leann Johnson and husband Chas; granddaughters, Blakely, Charley, and Harper Johnson; his father, Billy Bob Byrd, Sr.; and one sister, Lisa Diane Bender and husband Scott.
