Ardis "Tootsie" Kemper entered the Kingdom of Heaven on Sunday morning, May 19, 2019. She was 86 years young. A Crestview native, she was preceded in death by her parents, William C. and Nola Dean; her husband, Rev. Harry B., Kemper, Jr.; a brother, Charles; her sister, Eris (Adams); and an infant son, Michael. She is survived by a brother, Lowell Thomas Dean and his wife Joy of Gainesville, FL; and her three children; Jeannie Aplin and her husband Charles of Panama City Beach, FL; Don and his wife Cathy of Holt, FL; and Carolyn Rathel and her husband Kenny of Ponce de Leon, FL. She had 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was a devoted member of the First United Methodist Church in Crestview, participating in numerous church related activities there and in other area Methodist churches in North Florida and South Alabama to include Friendship United Methodist in Crestview, First United Methodist Church's in Ponce de Leon, FL, as well as Laurel Hill, FL, Florala, AL, LaPine, AL, and others. "Tootsie" greatly enjoyed singing in the First United Methodist Church choir and playing piano for the Laurel Hill congregation in recent years. Her family will welcome friends and acquaintances for visitation at Davis-Watkins Crestview Memorial Funeral Home, 492 E Pine Avenue in Crestview, FL, beginning at 10 AM on Wednesday, May 22, 2019, with a funeral service at 11 AM with
Reverend Dr. Timothy Trent officiating. Interment will follow at Live Oak Memorial Cemetery in Crestview. In accordance with Ardis' wishes, it is requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her memory to the First United Methodist Church of Crestview, FL.
