Biography

Mike Powl, age 69, passed away at his home in Destin, Florida with his family by his side. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Kitty Holland Powl; two daughters, Tracy (Brent) Eudy and Clare (Carl) Wilen; sister, Marty (Dr. Bob) Conrad of R.I.; four grandchildren, Keenan, McKenna and Chance Eudy of Destin and Riley Wilen of Cumming, Ga; and many dear friends across the country.
Mike and Kitty moved to Destin from Tallahassee in 1995, where he continued his real estate career. Mike was a great advocate of the Ft. Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce and the Downtown Merchants Association. He also enjoyed riding his bike over 1000 miles per year along the Emerald Coast.
There will be a celebration of Mike’s life at a later date. Please make donations to The American Cancer Society in memory of Mike or Covenant Hospice who took such gentle and respectful care of him. Thank you Jeanne, George, Laura and Leslie, you are wonderful.
