Bama L. Hartley departed her life, March 2, 2010. She was born June 6, 1912 in Monroe County, Alabama and a longtime resident of Mobile, AL. Bama was a dental assistant for thirty years until her retirement. The last ten years her residence was in Ft. Walton Beach, FL with her son, Carl Evans and daughter in law Dorothy. She attended the Church of Nazarene in Ft. Walton Beach. Bama was preceded in death by her father and mother, Mack and Carrie Jackson, husbands, son, sisters and brothers.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories, son, Carl Evans (Dorothy); grandchildren Carl Jr., Delvia Evans, and Joseph Nickelson and a host of great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, relatives and friends.

Visitation for Ft. Walton Beach friends will be held Monday, March 8th, from 5:30 to 7:30 at Davis Watkins Funeral Home, 8 NE Racetrack Road, Ft. Walton Beach, FL 32547. Complimentary valet parking will be provided.

Funeral Services will be held 1:00 pm, Tuesday, March 9,2010 at St. James Missionary Baptist Church, 2846 St. James Drive, Mobile, AL 36607 with Reverend Nathaniel Dortch. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Burial will immediately follow the service at Oakland Memorial Cemetery, Holt Road, Mobile, AL.
