| Mary Katherine Schneider, age 86, of Shalimar, Florida, entered into Heaven on Wednesday, July 22, 2009, surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Schneider was born on February 7, 1923 in Leesburg, FL, to the late Charles Edward Stevens and Rose Boyd Stevens. Soon after high school she met and then married the love of her life, Frederick G. Schneider. While living in Montgomery, AL, she was active in the choir and alter guild at Holy Comforter Episcopal Church. Mrs. Schneider was also an active member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Shalimar. Her family was paramount to Mrs. Schneider; her never-ending love and devotion to her family was evident by everyone who knew her. Mrs. Schneider even worked as a law secretary for her son, Charles F. Schneider. She cherished the time she spent with her friends. Mrs. Schneider enjoyed gardening. Mrs. Schneider is survived by her loving husband, Frederick G. Schneider of Shalimar, FL; daughter, Marilyn McDavid of Orlando, FL; son, Charles F. Schneider of Shalimar, FL; grandson, Ben Bateman of Orlando, FL; granddaughter, Amy Bateman of Amherst, MA; and three great-grandchildren, Jennifer, Gavin and Tyson. Local services will be held Sunday, July 26, 2009 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1 Meigs Drive, Shalimar, FL at 4 pm with Pastor Ray Angerman officiating. Interment will be at Lone Oak Cemetery in Leesburg, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Mrs. Schneider’s memory. |
